Christoph BergmeirLecturer in Data Science
Dr. Christoph Bergmeir is the Lecturer in Data Science at Monash University. He works as a Data Scientist in a variety of projects with external partners in diverse sectors, e.g. in healthcare or infrastructure maintenance. Christoph holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Granada, Spain, and an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of Ulm, Germany. He has published on time series prediction and time series predictor evaluation, as well as on medical applications and software packages in the R programming language, in journals such as IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Journal of Statistical Software, Computational Statistics and Data Analysis, and Information Sciences. Christoph has both an emerging academic track record and a track record in industry projects, working in projects with various multi-national companies on, e.g., railway maintenance, wind turbine modelling and malfunction prediction, greenhouse modelling and prediction, and cloud workload prediction. So, Christoph has a strong background in research applied to real-world problems and experience performing research with high impact in the research community that is relevant to clients in consulting projects.
Although many organisations in Asia are just embarking on their Robotic Process Automation (RPA) journey, many have indicated an interest in the next level of RPA – Artificial Intelligence (AI).
